Dr. Walter Kimball

Walter H. Kimball is a Professor of Education at the University of Southern Maine, starting in 1988. He has a Masters degree from the University of Kentucky, a Ph.D. from Ohio State University, and dual certification in general and special education. His classroom teaching, district-level administrative, and university teacher preparation experience help him support initial certification candidates in general and special education. Dr. Kimball’s professional interests include how technology improves the educational experience for students with various abilities and backgrounds. He has extensive experience working with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), developing assessment resources for technology-supported teaching and reviewing technology products for their alignment with the ISTE Standards for Teachers.
