Welcome to UMaineOnline and UMaine at Machias Online! We are so happy to have you join the Online Black Bear community.

New online students are strongly encouraged to complete the online orientation. We have designed this orientation in Brightspace, the learning management system on which your classes will be held. Completing the orientation will help you get familiar with the platform before you begin classes. 

After you have activated your University of Maine System (UMS) account, you will be able to enroll in orientation. Please note: you’ll need your UMS Single Sign-On (SSO) to access the orientation.
