Phil’s Story
“The online Surveying Engineering Technology program at UMaine has given me the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in a major I’ve made a career in for the past 30+ years. The staff was very helpful in walking me through the application and enrollment process, which was simple and quick while eliminating any stress I was feeling about taking college courses again after over 25 years.
I have always stressed the importance of a college education to my daughters. Having one daughter who has completed college and a second who is currently attending college, it was time for me to do the same.
Even though I am a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, I have found the courses to be challenging and relatable to the current projects I’m working on. The online program gives me the flexibility to take classes at a pace that allows me to balance school, working full-time, and family.”
