Shanna’s Story
My name is Shanna Hobbs. I currently live in the Seattle, Washington area, where I work for a reforestation startup while wrapping up my final year as a part-time student of the Masters of Science in Spatial Informatics. I chose this program after months of research, primarily driven by three factors: 1) The wide breadth of classes that focused on core skills and knowledge fundamental to this field; 2) the flexibility of the part-time and online schedule; and 3) affordability.
This program has exceeded my expectations in terms of knowledge gained and the caliber of courses and teachers. While I am an entirely remote student, the quality of the classes and student experience has been outstanding. The teachers are always available to answer questions, and the ability to view class recordings means I can do so at my own time and pace. Overall, the value of this program extends to my career and beyond, and this entire experience has been incredibly rewarding.
