Curriculum

Through engaging, career-focused courses, students gain practical knowledge in areas like forest finance, inventory and data analysis, drone technology, and consulting forestry.

Choose courses from the following totaling 9 credits:

  • SFR 510: Forest Operations Finance (3 credits)
  • SFR 511: Forestry Rules of Maine (2 credits)
  • SFR 512: Certification and Conservation (2 credits)
  • SFR 514: Enhanced Forest Inventory & Analysis (3 credits)
  • SFR 516: Unoccupied Aircraft Systems in the Forest Environment (3 credits)
  • SFR 517: Introduction to Consulting Forestry (1 credit) 

Admissions

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Undergraduate courses in science (forestry, biology, chemistry), math (precalculus), statistics courses or course equivalent, and/or relevant work experience
