About the Program

The online Minor in Political Science examines the nature of politics from diverse perspectives. The program teaches students to think critically about the fundamental theories, principles, institutions, and practices of politics in their social and historical contexts. Coursework explores the four main subfields of the discipline of political science: American Politics, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Political Theory.

The remaining 15 credits may be chosen by the student from our list of Political Science courses.

Delcaring a Minor

Minors are available to current degree-seeking undergraduate students at the University of Maine. Minors cannot be pursued by students enrolled in a certificate program. A minor cannot be awarded unless a degree is earned. Complete this form to declare a Political Science minor.
