Sean’s Story
“I began the Digital Curation certificate with library and archives work experience, most of it with paper collections, and an interest in web archiving. The program is structured in a logical, efficient way that delivers a comprehensive look at the world of digital objects. I gained knowledge of the dilemmas and possibilities of digital collections, and how to sensibly build and preserve them. “DIG” faculty are thoughtful and responsive. They cultivate a positive, inclusive environment, and understand the time constraints that busy adults face. I also really appreciate that my classmates come from such a wide variety of professional fields. In a world moving away from paper records — and remote work becoming a new normal — digital curation is more important than ever.”
