Sean’s Story

Photo (Sean Crawford)“I began the Digital Curation certificate with library and archives work experience, most of it with paper collections, and an interest in web archiving.  The program is structured in a logical, efficient way that delivers a comprehensive look at the world of digital objects.  I gained knowledge of the dilemmas and possibilities of digital collections, and how to sensibly build and preserve them.  “DIG” faculty are thoughtful and responsive. They cultivate a positive, inclusive environment, and understand the time constraints that busy adults face.  I also really appreciate that my classmates come from such a wide variety of professional fields.  In a world moving away from paper records — and remote work becoming a new normal — digital curation is more important than ever.”
