“A little over 3 years back, I embarked on a journey that piqued my interest. It was nearly 15 years since I did any regular studying—and I was not sure if I would be able to push myself. I wanted to learn something different. I wanted to make a difference.

My search for a program led me to UMaine’s site. Being on the other side of the globe, I was unsure what to expect. But a few emails later, I was enrolled in the Certificate program in Instructional Technology. I was hooked. My interest became a passion… and my pathway led to a full-on Master’s in Instructional Technology. For the first time, I enjoyed learning—and time flew way faster than I expected.

My journey at UMaine came to an end a few weeks back. And I truly thank all of the wonderful teachers who redefined what not just learning but even teaching means to me. The fact that I was 8,000 miles away, never once became an issue. The education I have gained from this program has been immeasurable.”
