Curriculum
These core courses are explicitly focused on foundational computational and programming content knowledge to give students with a limited computer science background the foundations to enable them to teach the content needed for the two high school computer science AP exams.
The electives fill out their background and motivate them to keep up-to-date in computer science content over time. The curriculum, if completed successfully, enables students to continue smoothly into completing an M.S. in Information Systems, M.S. in Spatial Informatics, or M.S. in Data Science and Engineering.
Admissions
We have rolling admissions so you can apply and be accepted into the program at any time. The application process is simple and easy and an advisor can answer all your questions about program requirements and the admissions process.
Faculty
The Information Systems and Spatial Informatics faculty are engaged in a wide variety of research, with clusters of research activity across a variety of emerging information and data science domains. You can learn about their research at spatial.umaine.edu/research-facilities.
